Malaiwana

Malaiwana is regarded as one of top resorts on the west-coast of the island and has stunning panoramic views of the Andaman Sea. Despite a very traditional Thai architectural design of high pointed roofs, solid wood uprights and wooden floors, the villas still had cleverly placed modern-contemporary pieces dotted around the interiors.
The enormous internal areas of this resort gave an opportunity to use maximum creativity in making use of the space. This was done by providing a nicely designed selection of comfortable sofas and chunky lounge chairs fit to pamper and give relaxation to any holiday-maker.
This selection was a mixture of traditional and modern furniture that was well-balanced and well-matched and did not look out-of-date or boring, as is often the case with other traditional houses. This project was representative and defined what Oriental Living is all about.
